video - easy ways to make newsletter content

Adding some of your own content to your newsletter isn't that hard. Here are some tips.

Transcript

Simon Payn: Hi. Simon here from Ready to Go Newsletters.

I mentioned in another video that it’s an excellent idea to customize your newsletter with some unique content - to put in something that's special and really relevant to your readers.

Now, not everyone has a lot of time to write, so something you can do very easily is find an article that you think is relevant and interesting to your readers, and mention that in your newsletter.

Now, I'm not saying you copy and paste an entire article into your newsletter. There's no need to do that, and you could be breaking copyright laws. But what you can do is copy an extract from that article and then link to the original article from your newsletter. Of course, this works best in email newsletters, but you can also quote articles in your print newsletter.

The benefit of doing this is you are showing you interest in your clients; you are proving that you think about their needs and that you can find information that is relevant to them, even if that information doesn’t come from you.

So, I recommend you do that. It's an easy way to customize your newsletter and it's an easy way to make your newsletter a lot more effective.
